Discord

The Livepeer Discord is the primary real-time community for builders and network participants. Invite: discord.gg/livepeer

Channels

#lounge — The main channel for developers. Ask questions about the API, SDKs, stream configuration, video assets, and general development. The most active support channel for application builders.#ai-research — Dedicated to Livepeer’s AI inference capabilities. Ask about the AI subnet, ComfyUI workflows, ComfyStream, the Daydream API, pipeline configuration, and GPU requirements.
#delegating — Questions about delegating LPT, staking rewards, choosing an orchestrator, and understanding delegation mechanics.
#governance — Discussions around Livepeer Improvement Proposals (LIPs), governance votes on the Explorer, and protocol-level decision-making.
#landing-pad — The first stop for new community members. Good place to introduce yourself and get oriented before asking technical questions in other channels.
#general — General ecosystem chat.#introductions — Introduce yourself to the community.
Discord is best for real-time, conversational questions. For questions that deserve a permanent, searchable answer — especially detailed technical or protocol questions — the Forum is a better home.

Livepeer Forum

forum.livepeer.org The forum is the permanent knowledge base of the Livepeer community. Discussions here are indexed and searchable, making it the best place for questions that others are likely to search for in the future.

Forum Categories

Questions for new participants — setting up wallets, delegating for the first time, understanding the network. Post here if you are stuck early in your journey.
Technical discussions about building applications on Livepeer — API questions, SDK issues, integration patterns, and architecture decisions. The best category for developers who need an in-depth answer.
Operational questions and discussions for people running orchestrator nodes — configuration, transcoding performance, reward mechanics, and GPU selection.
Protocol-level technical discussions — smart contracts, cryptoeconomics, bonding mechanics, and security topics.
Governance discussions and Livepeer Improvement Proposals (LIPs). Read active proposals, post feedback, or draft new proposals here before moving them to an on-chain vote.
Before posting, search the forum for existing threads on your topic. Many common questions — particularly around orchestrator configuration, delegating, and API behaviour — have thorough existing answers.

Developer Office Hours

Bi-weekly calls with the Livepeer core team. Office Hours are the best place for synchronous, conversation-style technical help from people who built the network. They are particularly useful for:
  • Integration questions that require back-and-forth discussion
  • Feedback on architecture decisions before building
  • Questions about upcoming features or protocol changes
  • Early-stage builders looking for guidance on product direction
Where to join: livepeer.org/dev-hub — the events calendar on the Dev Hub lists upcoming office hours sessions with join links. Office Hours sessions listed on livepeer.org have included:
  • ComfyUI community demo sessions — Discover new demos from the ComfyUI community
  • Coordinated development calls — Ongoing discussions on development coordination
  • Ecosystem priority updates — Updates on ecosystem priorities, goals, and growth

GitHub Issues

For confirmed bugs, feature requests, and contribution discussions — GitHub Issues are the appropriate channel. Each repo has its own issue tracker.

Writing a Good Issue

Before filing an issue on any Livepeer repository:
  1. Search first — Check whether the issue has already been reported
  2. Use the templates — Each repo provides issue templates; fill them out fully
  3. Be specific — Include versions, error messages, and reproduction steps
  4. One issue per report — Do not combine multiple bugs in a single issue

Livepeer Studio Support

If you have a billing question, account issue, or need to contact Livepeer Inc about a commercial use case, the in-app support options inside Livepeer Studio are the appropriate route. For API access enquiries, enterprise use cases, or partnership discussions, contact the team via the Dev Hub at livepeer.org/dev-hub.

Security Vulnerabilities and Bug Bounties

Do not file security vulnerabilities as public GitHub issues. Use the Immunefi programme below.
For confirmed or suspected security vulnerabilities in Livepeer’s smart contracts or protocol: Immunefi Bug Bounty: immunefi.com/bug-bounty/livepeer The programme covers smart contracts on Arbitrum and Ethereum. Rewards are paid in USDC. KYC is required for payout. A proof-of-concept (PoC) is required for all web/app reports.

Grants and Funding Help

If you are building something significant on Livepeer and need funding:
If you are unsure which channel to use: start with Discord #lounge for quick development questions, the Forum for technical questions that deserve a permanent answer, and GitHub Issues for confirmed bugs with reproduction steps.
